Saturday - Shopping and Catacombs

Pam & Ralf have never been to Rome before and so they had different plans for the day.

Suzy and I went shopping. Along the way we returned to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps to take some photos.

In the afternoon, we had booked a bus tour called Christian Rome. We visited two churches (St Maria Major and St John), the holy stairs and finally the catacombs. The catacombs is where the Romans used to bury their death in tunnels under the city.

In the evening we met up again with Pam & Ralf and went out to dinner with two couples that Ralf knows through his business.
